MONTHLY QUILT-IN
Looking for a chance to get together with other quilters and stitch? We have several opportunities to do just that each month. Consider coming to our monthly quilt-in, where we work on making charity quilts that are donated to various organizations around Indianapolis.
We meet on the third Thursday of each month (except July, August and December) at North Methodist Church in Fellowship Hall from about 9:30 until 3pm (more or less), or any parts thereof. Bring sewing supplies your own sewing supplies and enjoy the company while we sew, bat, birth, topstitch and bag quilts to be tied at home. We usually have 12-15 gals working, our noon lunch is whenever Ellie gets hungry…and we have a good time. We marvel at the new tops that are turned in at our meetings. Occasionally we add borders, but as a general rule the sizes that best fit our batting are: Adult 60 x 85, Child 45 x 60, and Baby 45 x 45. Borders or sashing can be used to extend the size of the quilt to these measurements.
