Welcome to QGIN 2016!!
Year of Color!
In addition to our regular programs, QGIN will spend a few minutes each month talking about one of the colors on the Painters Primary color wheel as we build our own color wheel and learn a little bit about each color, including hearing a poem about that color. Everyone is encouraged to wear the color of the month to the meetings.
We will also be exploring the color combinations by sharing quilts made out of the combinations. Members are asked to bring in quilts specific to each months combination to share at the meeting.
The block of the month is the same basic block each month with variations in the color and color placement. At year-end, you will have a block for each color in the color wheel. The fun will be to see how each of us chooses to set them or use them creatively in a quilt.
